ABOUT ME
My name is Debbie & I make handmade lampwork beads & small sculpts from glass. Believe me, it has pretty much taken over my little corner of the world ! I can't say enough how much I LOVE what I do & I hope that shows through my work. Work is a strange way to describe what I do at the torch because it just does NOT feel like work ! lol ! Whether it's a lovely bead set or focal for jewelry, a cute little critter or creature or a totally "off the wall" sculpture of some sort - melting that glass rod is MAGIC ! Sometimes, I have no idea at all what will come from a torching session & THAT is the best part ! Handmade Lampwork beads - as our youngest son always says, " It's ALL good ! "
Here's a picture of me at the torch creating a glass bead ! Ok, it's not the greatest shot but all I have at the moment. This pic is from a while back while I was still using my Minor Bench Burner torch. I now use one called The Piranha ! Love it ! I can melt hard glass (boro for short) much faster with the Piranha. Right now, I mainly work with soft glass made in Italy, Germany and right here in USA.
